I want to support the incoming freshman who are probably dealing with a lot. I think I can provide some guidance as well as a shoulder to lean on. At the very least I’d like to be a friend for someone looking for one.

Helloooo, I'm Fiona, and am sophomore in economics and business. I think that the peer-mentor relationship was a great experience that I got during my freshmen year and adore my mentor, so I hope to be able to give back to the community and support incoming members of Ascend! I have had the privilege of navigating academic challenges, internship opportunities, and leadership roles within my campus and local communities. Through my experiences leading student initiatives and coordinating team events, I’ve gained valuable insights into the importance of guidance, clear communication, and goal-setting during pivotal career and educational moments. I am passionate about becoming a mentor because I genuinely want to empower and support other students as they find their own paths and overcome challenges. Sharing the lessons, strategies, and resources I have gathered allows me to give back and foster a welcoming, encouraging environment where others feel confident reaching their full potential.

When I was a freshman student myself, coming into college was very scary and full of uncertainty, as I wasn't familiar with most of my peers. However, when I became a mentee to my mentor Annie Jiang, it provided me with new opportunities and connections with Ascend as well as other opportunities on campus. Now, as a second-year myself, I also want to be the same person who can impact someone's experience positively as the program did mine.

My main interests are hyperpop, fashion, traveling, and creative outlets. I want to build experience with people through concerts/music, club events, and academic sudies by networking with mentees and other mentors across the club. I am a fourth year finance and accounting major with completed/upcoming co-ops and internships at PECO, KPMG, and PwC. My experience spans from project accounting to financial modeling and valuation to IT audit and internal controls. I was once an underclassmen who also sought help with resume building and interview tips, so I would love to pay it forward by supporting and mentoring students navigating the same process.

Hi everyone! I'm Derek, a junior at Drexel studying Finance, and I'm originally from Philly! I've had internships across Consulting, Venture Capital, and Private Equity, and I'll be going into Investment Banking next summer. I'm also part of the first cohort of Drexel's Howley Finance Academy. Outside of school and work, I'm a big 76ers and Eagles fan, and I enjoy watching anime and playing basketball! I'm a senior, majoring in MIS and Business Analytics. Over the course at Drexel, I have gained professional development through my co-op, internship, and leadership experiences. Because of the clubs and programs I am in, many of the upperclassmen from previous years assisted and mentored me. Hi! I’m Isabella, a 3rd year Accounting and Finance major. My 1st co-op was at GBLI as an Internal Audit Intern, and am currently doing my 2nd co-op at HKA as a Forensic Accounting Intern. My experience with the mentorship program has been overwhelmingly positive and I’ve gained a lot of valuable advice through being a mentee in my 2nd year. I understand feeling a little lost especially at the beginning of the college journey, and I’m able to offer some guidance based on my experiences and knowledge. Hi I’m Jason and I’m a fourth year Computer and Electrical Engineering major. I am currently returning to Comcast as a Technical Project Manager for my third Co-op. My main goal is to reassure and give tips to mentees applying to Co-ops. I’ve also had mentors in the past and have found them extremely valuable, so I want to return the favor for others.

I want to help mentees grow and adapt to college, build friendships, and find a sense of belonging and community. As a sophomore, I would be happy to share what my freshman year was like and help freshmen feel more at ease adapting to Drexel. As someone who was just in their shoes, I understand how nerve-racking it was navigating in a new environment and trying to make new friends. But, it made it a lot easier when I received support and guidance as a mentee. Also, as someone who is currently on co-op, I would be happy to share what my experience was like applying for co-op and give interview and resume tips.

After experiencing firsthand how valuable the Ascend Mentorship Program was for my own personal and professional growth when I was a mentee, I am deeply motivated to pay it forward. From starting as a mentee to becoming a mentor myself to many underclassmen has given me incredible insights into navigating academic paths, campus leadership, and career opportunities. I want to continue offering direct, meaningful guidance to empower the next cohort of students. My goal is to serve as a reliable role model, advocate, and supporter for my mentees as they build confidence and achieve their goals both professionally and personally.

I am currently a Lebow Peer leader and I enjoy helping other students manage their college life, and overall just helping other students. I would love to be able to help other people and give them a great experience with Ascend and also be able to help them with anything they need.
